Conference Scholarship 2011
The South Australian Region of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute is pleased to announce Conference Scholarships for the South Australian Spatial Information Day 2011 and the Surveying & Spatial Sciences Conference 2011 held in Wellington New Zealand.
Guidelines
Conference Scholarship Categories
Conference scholarships are intended to support the attendance of an SSSI Student Members, covering registration of the events. The Conference Scholarship on offer in 2011 are:
- 4 Registration for SA Spatial Information Day 2011 and South Australian Spatial Excellence Awards Dinner (valued at $300 each) 5th August 2011.
- 1 Registration for SSSC11 in Wellington, New Zealand (including airfare, accommodation and conference registration to the value of $2500) 21-25 November 2011.
Eligibility Criteria
All scholarship applications should meet the following criteria:
- A resident of South Australia.
- A SSSI Student Member.
- Any South Australian Full Time Student enrolled at TAFE or University currently studying Surveying or a Spatial discipline.
- Must be willing to provide a written report for publication on the SSSI website.
- Be able to attend the full event (conference and dinner).
- Passport required for SSSC11 in New Zealand
Selection Process
The scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of an application which should include:
- A covering letter outlining why they should receive a scholarship and how they would benefit.
- Provide evidence of current enrolment at University or TAFE and membership of SSSI.
- Letter of recommendation from Senor Faculty member.
Applications open on 2 May 2011 and close 5pm 1 July 2011. Successful applicants will be announced in early July 2011
